Sunshine Health Enters Value-Based Care Agreement with Johns Hopkins All Children's Care Network
The two-year effort is designed to expand pediatric primary care access to Florida Medicaid beneficiaries
May 31, 2023 – Sunshine Health and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital have announced a two-year value-based care initiative aimed at boosting access to primary care for children covered by Medicaid in Florida. Over 56,000 Sunshine Health Medicaid members will have access to care under the new agreement,
If you’re not too familiar with the names, Sunshine Health is a leading Medicaid managed care organization in Florida, while Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is renowned for providing top-tier pediatric care through their clinical and academic health care system.
Under the new value-based care agreement, over 40 practices made up of over 160 primary care providers, can now earn additional reimbursement for improving health outcomes and increasing engagement in preventative and maintenance care.
